Shipping Policies

Shipping will take place within 1-5 working days of order placed once payment has been confirmed.

Some of our items are not kept in stock and will be obtained from my supplier on order. The customer will be notified if the item is available and once payment is confirmed the item will be ordered. Items ordered usually takes 2-7 working days to receive and shipped the same day. If payment has already been made, and we cannot get the item due to unavailability a full refund will be made. It is not always possible to keep every item in stock, but if available we can get it for you.

Orders not paid for within 7 Days will be cancelled, unless otherwise arranged.

Shipping times are only estimates and are not guaranteed. Additional shipping may be required on your order due to weight,  your combination of items, or other factors. We cannot control occasional inventory shortages, shipping carrier delays, Weather delays, and other factors that can delay your shipment. We will do our best to get your product to you as soon as possible.
 
Larger Boxes such as planes cars etc. are charged per volumetric weight as per Post Office rates. (Preferably for larger boxes a courier option is best)


Unless another shipping option is requested the automatic shipping option will be via Normal Parcel Post via the South African Post Office. (To Insure the contents of your parcel add 3% of the total value of your parcel to the shipping cost, or let us know in the comments box that you would like to ensure your parcel, and we will update the shipping cost on your final invoice)
 
If you wish to collect the item/s yourself, just choose the walk in option
 
If you do require other shipping services, please contact us and we can arrange it for you. ( Just choose the walk in option, and in the comments box notify us which service you require, and we will update your invoice with the correct shipping costs.)

      We use Aramex and Courierguy courier service
 

You are also welcome to arrange your own courier service to collect.
 

Returned undeliverable packages and refused items will be charged an appropriate shipping charge.

 

Refund and Exchanges

Returned merchandise must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. The mounting of engines and accessories, running fuel through engines, cutting or pushing out the balsa sheets in kits, and other similar actions constitutes used merchandise. Radios must be returned with unmounted servos and switch harness.

Example:
When packing your order for return, please be sure all the original packing material and instruction papers and/or manuals are included. We will be unable to process your return if parts are missing, or if items are not packed properly to avoid damage to products and their boxes and/or packages. ARF kits are specially packaged to insure safe shipping of all contents. In order to receive credit for a returned ARF, the contents must be returned in the original plastic covers and arranged in a manner that will not damage the contents or packaging.

We will only accept returns within 10days of invoice date. Freight charges will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for insured shipping back to our shop.

Returns sent COD will not be accepted.

Fire Fly Hobbies reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee on any merchandise returned for credit.
Fire Fly Hobbies does not do Cash/EFT refunds on any orders - No exceptions

NOTE: Please check all the items carefully BEFORE opening the plastic clear wrap. Once opened, we cannot accept it for refund/exchange.

All Items posted are checked for missing parts and where possible tested before being shipped.
